Pan Mass Challenge-2005
Just returned from a business trip from Louisiana and boy was it hot down there...Too tired to psyche myself into getting on the bike this evening... Okay, the gym it is instead... My quads are slowly getting used to producing Lactic Acid at much higher heart rates.. I decided to skip the aerobics and go for the weights instead... I need to build strength for the hill climbs...That's where squats and leg curls come in handy. By the way, the discovery team won today's stage in Tour de France...
It was amazing to see these guys sprint at the last 2 KM...After having climbed uphill about 60 KM, it is mind bogling to see somebody pull out energy from somewhere to sprint in the last 5 minutes to win the stage. These guys were clocking 40-45 KM/h on the slow downhills and flats... Just amazing.. My fitness level is no where near what these guys are but seeing someone go for it like these guys do just leaves me in awe about how far the human body can be pushed...
Anyways, back to reality...
Todays Gym Schedule:
3 sets of leg curls @ 90 lbs, 180 lbs and 270 lbs respectively
2 sets of inclined squats @ 180 lbs
3 sets of leg presses @ 180 lbs
Starting to feel my legs cramp, I decided to stretch while watching the Yankees score 4 runs against Texas... Bad bad... But the Red Sox are back in first position.
Okay. finish off by doing 100 situps and I am outta here...
16 days and counting... Its crunch time..!!
